Bethany Care   

Bethany is a certified Group Adult Foster Care provider for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Bethany also has a contract with the federal government as a Congregate Housing Services Provider.  This means that many people living at Bethany has affordable assisted living.  We provide them with meals, 1-2 hours of personal care each day, a managed care plan overseen by a registered nurse at the instruction of a doctor, and access other community services to keep them avoid institutionalization. 

In the winter of 2002-03 thirty-three apartments at Merrivista will be renovated so that all of them will be wheelchair accessible with roll in showers, lowered cabinets, etc. 

The Bethany Care staff consults with a Professional Assessment Committee of community healthcare volunteers from other agencies who review the care plans and offer insight from their expertise.  Every participant is evaluated in this twice a year.
